A teacher is a person imparting education to his students. The job of teachers encompasses a lot. They are responsible for planning, preparing, organizing and delivering in order to facilitate learning and development for their students. Teachers are always required to establish and communicate clear learning objectives to their students. They are also required to observe students and evaluate their performance. They play a very important role in a student’s life. Nowadays, the teacher is required to combine new technological resources with the plain old traditional teaching approaches. Some of the objective of a teacher are as given below:
- The teacher is responsible in molding the students to an extent;
- He utilizes bilingual abilities of teaching and lesson planning;
- He should have mentoring skills;
- He should better understand his students;
- He maintains motivation, encouragement and discipline among students;
- He creates good verbal communication skills with his students;
- He is responsible in decision making and critical thinking;
- The teacher believes in organizing and planning;
- He should initiate with a high level of energy;
- He should be flexible to different situations;
- And should have patience;
Teaching was never my cup of tea as I was never interested in this field. This field demands much from a person. First of all, it is very important to satisfy the students so that they can believe you easily. Teaching requires a deep research related to each and every student of the classroom which I cannot fulfill as researching on any topic seems not so easy for me. Another thing which is problematic for me is not feeling comfortable talking to my students as I feel somewhat disturbed while talking to them. Anger, impatience, frustration, stupidity should not be there for be in the character of a teacher but I have a bit of part of all these qualities which I know will be harmful for the students. I am almost out of the favorable attitude, confidence, unwavering patience, social insights like qualities. So I think that teaching not for me.
