How many times have you had the feeling that you are not able to give time to your own family? Almost, everyone who goes to work would answer in an affirmative. In this cut-throat, man-eat-man scenario, we are so busy proving ourselves the best that we forget that we even have a personal life. A personal life where we have family, own personal commitments and own wellbeing.
That’s where the principle of healthy life balance comes into being. We should be able to strike a balance between our work and our personal life. This leverages our energy. While working for so many hours at a stretch, our energy gets completely consumed. We can’t even concentrate on our core targets. A time-out gives us a chance to ponder upon what we are doing.
Segregating home and personal life means that we have created a divide between office and work. Neither the official tasks are carried forward to home, nor are the homely matters bought to the office. This puts us in a condition where we are able to assign a time-frame for each task and with complete efficiency are even able to complete that task.
The notion that a time-frame should be allotted to each work at office or home is true to some extent but, what if, the responsibility of person increases at office? What if he is suppose to take the role of his wife for a few days. That is when your ability demands to be spiked up.
One can lead a healthy life forever if at any given time, he is able to change parts i.e. even if it was a work that required him to spend 2 hours more, he still was able to complete the task before hand and those 2 extra hours, he was able to compensate with his family members.
In every scenario, staying positive and focused is what is exactly needed. Focus helps us channelize our skills in the best possible manner and the positivity makes us believe that no matter, how hard the situation is, it can be tackled with ease.
